Michelin Primacy 5 Energy — rated 60%
while driving a Lexus for 1000 miles
I expected a super quite, comfortable and fuel efficient tyre. The tyre is indeed quite and super fuel efficient. My average got fuel consumption got improved by 1,5km on a liter. The comfort however, on slik adphalt it is, But the imperfections are not filtered and my interior rattles more than my Bridgestone Winter tyre. I’ve lowered the fuel pressure but it did not improve. I’m a bit puzzled why the road feedback is so hard on the little imperfections. Perhaps it is the hard compound focus on fuel saving.

Pirelli Cinturato C3 — rated 80%
while driving a Tesla 2024 Model 3 RWD for 6000 miles
An immediate upgrade in driving dynamics! Coming from the Primacy 5, the Cinturato C3 is far more engaging and responsive. It feels like a true 'sporty touring' tire. It’s less plush and quiet than the Michelin, and the rolling resistance is a hair higher, but the grip in all weather conditions is excellent. If you want a tire that makes driving fun without sacrificing too much daily usability, this is it.

Michelin Primacy 5 Energy — rated 100%
while driving a Hyundai Kona electric for 200 miles
I just got them and I did a few short trips (300km). Quietest tyres I've tested at 120km/s, which is my preferred highway speed. They absorb bumps on the road exceptionally well. Efficiency is as advertised - I can get 10-11 kWh/100km driving in the city, which is way better then my old Primacy 3 + Vredestein Ultrac+ combo.

Yokohama BluEarth GT AE51 — rated 41%
while driving a Mitsubishi ASX 2 for 19000 miles
Bought these in Aug 2023 it's now April 2026 to fit a mitsubishi asx and they are down to 3mm of tread with cracks along the circumference of each front tyre groove.
I expected them to last longer given I drive approx 6/7k miles each yr so at 19000 now.
Found the cabin noise quite intrusive. Been very noisey of late. It was even picked up by an OAP passenger wearing a hearing aid who could only hear a whirring sound from the tyres and thought it was his aids.
Grip has been OK really wet/dry. Had a near miss with a car that suddenly braked going downhill in the dry and skidded right up to them and this is why I got them checked and they said they are legal but need changing because of the cracks around the grooves.
I live on a hill and my drive is inclined so the slightest snow is troublesome for these tyres...just spin and slide.
I cannot recommend them and would not buy again unfirtunately

Continental UltraContact — rated 100%
while driving a Volkswagen Golf Mk5 1.9 TDI for 31276 miles
I drove the Ultra Contact for 4 summer seasons as follows:
Season 1 (April 13-November 5, 2022): 17,643 km (10,963 miles)
Season 2 (April 15-November 11, 2023): 12,596 km (7,827 miles)
Season 3 (April 8-November 9, 2024): 8,362 km (5,196 miles)
Season 4 (April 19-November 18, 2025): 11,733 km (7,290 miles)
TOTAL: 50334 km (31276 miles).
I previously had Uniroyal Rainexpert 3 which were great, lasted 38819 km (24121 miles) in 3 seasons.

CONTINENTAL Ultra Contact: This set of mine was Made in Portugal. It's not less quality if it doesn't say Made in Germany. People often confuse Ultra Contact with UC6, UC7 and NXT. The dimension is 195 65 R15 H mounted on a GOLF MK 5, 1.9 TDI, 105 hp, manual transmission, 2004. production.

WET - excellent aquaplaning, short stopping distance, slightly weaker lateral grip in the wet.

DRY - excellent dry handling, braking and cornering.

NOISE - quiet and comfortable to drive.

WEAR - After driving 50,334 km (31,276 miles), of which 12,520 km (7,779 miles) were driven only on the highway at a speed in the range of 140 - 170 kph (87-105 mph), which is almost 25% of the total mileage. After 4 seasons, the smallest profile depth was 3.9 mm. When we consider the fact that the profile depth of the new UltraContact comes with a depth of 7.5 mm, this is an outstanding result when it comes to wear. The road infrastructure in the Western Balkan countries is of much lower quality than in the rest of Europe. In the summer months of June, July and August, air temperatures in the shade often exceed 40°C (104°F). Road surface temperatures often exceed 60°C (140°F).

CONCLUSION:
The Continental UltraContact is built for very high mileage, balanced on both dry and wet surfaces. The only downside is a small defect on wet roads when it comes to lateral grip. In my opinion, this Continental's model is one of the best in the last 10 years. I will definitely buy it again because it is worth every penny.

Bridgestone Turanza 6 — rated 76%
while driving a Honda Civic 1.5T for 10000 miles
I’ve been using the Turanza 6 for 16 thousand kilometers and this period includes alternating temperature (between 9-35 degrees Celsius) with mostly sunny weather with dry roads and little bit of rainy weather with wet roads. In addition, for my tyre size, I only have 2 different load and speed indexes, which are 93V SL and 97W XL, I use the 97W XL variant. My opinion is, the XL version is a lot firmer and not so good in absorbing little snags on the asphalt. In the mid life of the tyre, it evolves to a consistent vibration which just ends in smooth asphalt. But let’s not slander this tyre, It’s really good about furl consumption, tread wear, and both dry-wet grip consistency with a sensitive steering wheel feel. So for conclusion, I really suggest you to buy the standard load (SL) version of it (even with a comfortable 55 section size) to both have good grip in all types of weather conditions and comfort with a good degree of snag damping. Maybe, I should have chosen the SL version :/

Michelin Primacy 5 — rated 100%
while driving a Mazda CX 3 for 300 miles
Month ago mounted on my Mazda cx-3 2.0 skyactive G. Very comfortable comparing with old toyo proxes R40. 0,5l/100km less fuel consumption in first 500km. Not noisy at all, safe and predictable while driving. Recomendation.

Falken ZIEX ZE320 — rated 87%
while driving a Ford Focus MK3 for 500 miles
First impressions about the tyre: After the Continental PC6 these tyres are incredibly comfortable. Much less noise and lower pitch of existing noise, what makes the feeling of the tyre noise level even lower. Smoothen the surface imperfections of the road way better. I hope they will keep this performance for a long time. These Falkens were 30% cheaper than the previous Contis, for the first impression, the performance is quite the same (with normal driving), but the riding comfort is much better.

The road feedback is a bit sluggish after the Contis, but nothing exceptional, It's good as well, but they haven't that tight, sporty feeling like the Conti.

I'm satisfied with these tyres. I got what I expect, even a little bit more. I will update my experience after some thousands of miles, hopefully with similar satisfaction.

Continental PremiumContact 7 — rated 53%
while driving a SEAT Leon for 6000 miles
My first conti tyres were premium contact 5 on 195/65/16. Were very grippy but in 15.000km they were at end of tread without any aggressive driving and always on countryside. Side tread was also wasted. Always correct pressure. I said I won’t buy again.
Before 6 months with another car i was suggested to try Premium Contact 7 205/55/16 from my local Tyre shop. I was ready to buy the all new falken ziex 320 but I trusted them that the new 7s were upgraded and we installed them. After first 1000km I was totally right!! that they are the same crap like the old ones. I’ve made now nearly 5.000km in 6 months on a Leon.
They are very grippy yes, especially on dry.
But.. the wear is significant and on side tread and on main tread. The steering feedback is veeeery bad for me, my body is going from door to the gear leaver after tight corners and I don’t drive fast most of the time, I think that I have a second suspension on my wheels. You can see the side of the Tyre is greater in height than others on same dimensions.Furthermore are very noisy comparing with others. Also from new i measured the tread from the water passages to the top and were approx 6.5mm instead of others that were nearly 8.5!!!!!! I was using Goodyear efficient grip performance 2. Great tyres lasted 45.000km on Greek hot conditions and after 4 years I changed them because of side cracks.
Contis are the worst automotive opinion I’ve made till today.. AGAIN even that is 2gens after my first impression.
Disappointed entirely . Lastly the don’t tell the “made in” country, just they have a batch label like screwed and inside the numbers has the “CN” acronym so I suppose they are made in China…
I don’t recommend them at all.

Avon ZV7 — rated 37%
while driving a Ford Fiesta mk7 for 5000 miles
A cheap tyre , for a reason. Super short life. Starting cracking all over tread pattern after a year. Pot holes damage this tyre very easily. Now done 6000 miles. They are ready to go in the bin. But cheap, buy twice. Buy a quality tyre like Continental. Superior in every single way.

Kumho Ecsta HS52 — rated 94%
while driving a Skoda Octavia for 350 miles
Coming from Lassa Greenways, this is a definite improvement in all categories, the tyre feels very direct with a nice bite into the corners. It has incredible road feedback giving you a lot of confidence. As for comfort it's not all that noisy, especially compared to the Lassa's, as for comfort they are a bit hard though not annoyingly so.
Some reviews say that they feel a bit of an imbalance when doing 110-130km/h and I can confirm got that as well, though it did clear up as they are driven(broken in).
You do feel the bumps and imperfections in the road a lot(but Bulgarian roads are harsh no matter the tyre really).

First impressions are that this tyre is definitely worth the money, especially for the price point they are at, 50 euro a tyre is incredible.
