    Is there an explanation anywhere of how your ratings in each category work? Are the ratings linear? IE, will a tyre with a wear of 4 wear out twice as fast as a tyre with a wear of 8?

      These scores were directly converted from the original article where sadly there is no indication of a scale. Your assumption is a sound one though.

      Noted at the bottom:

      The "Formula C" tyre finished in 8th place with the best marks for wear and a low fuel consumption, but a weakness in the wet. Unfortunately at time of writing we couldn't find enough information to include it in our database.

      It is strange Michelin weren't in this test. They were in the 165/70 R14 test with the Michelin Energy Saver (and finished second). That's due to go live tomorrow so we'll link it then!
