215/60 R16 Tyre Review Highlights
Writing about the Superia Ecoblue 4S
rated 39%
Had this tires on our family van when I bought it. Fiat Scudo 2007, 215/60-R16 XL, 99 LI .
Date of productions was 2020. Bought them used with the car in 2022. Up to winter it was a better tire than I expected from a cheap one, it was really ok in dry and not bad in wet conditions (of course its a heavy car with more weight on every wheel). In the third year it begann to significantely lose grip on wet roads. Ice and snow was then getting horrible, I had to stay behind trucks on the Autobahn because it was slipping sideways on flat tracks with icy surface. Threw them off afterwards with 4 mm tread depth in the middle, gave 2 to recycling and keep 2 for later in summer. Mounted these 2 in Summer 25 again for two weeks to test them again. They still felt good by handnail-test but the wet grip was completely gone. My 2 tons empty weight car slipped out on the front axle so easy by normal cornering on wet roads, I never felt something like this before. So I gave the last 2 to recycling too. Horrible, really horrible after 3-5 years. If you wear them to ground during 2 years, you can buy them. Otherwise don't!!!

Driving Maxxis Premitra All Season AP3 XL in dimension 215/60 R16 99V on 2007 Fiat Scudo Van with 8 seats as Family Car only during holidays and transport tasks. Wight of empty car: 2,0 tons. Driving style: sporty if only me sitting in. Normal with family. Driven distance: around 10.000 km.
Grip over all is good under dry and wet conditions, a bit indirect steering, rest ok. But I have a big problem with tread wear on the side of the tires. They also seam to be too soft in the sidewalls, so the wear is only on the sides. Tire pressure is 0,3 bars over recommented pressure of full car, so this should not be the problem. I do not recomment this tire for heavy cars or sporty driving style, it can't withstand this!
Grip on muddy snow with ice under was really bad, I had to put on snow chains for even smaller hills :(

Whit every new tire i test it by scraping my shoe against it to feel grip( laught as much u want :) )
And i can say, compared to my ex micheling primacy 4+ , there are extreamly sticky. On medium quality asphalt i pushed tyres hard whit speed over 120 kmh on extreamly steep curve. I am impressed and i can only say that i will buy it again. Saved me today from hiting another car whit 10/10 braking on wet. Noise is on par or even better then michelin. I bearly hear them! . Compared to micheling-excels in evrything! Corners i couldnt take whit confidence
, now i speed past it. Short life compared to michelin? One thought -i value better braking and cornering then tread wear.
Downside- they do use 0.3 more fuel coz ur driving faster :-) extreamly happy!

Great tyres, bought new for winter 2021-2022.impressed by the lack of noise from studs on clear pavement. Used them on my WV Passat, and tread life is extremely high, went trough 32 000 miles. The first 25 000 miles only polished away just 1,5mm and took 4 winter seasons, but this winter after 10 000 miles I lost 4mm. And because they are now on the legal limit, will change them. I had similar experiences with Michelin x-ice north3, where the first mm holded extremely long, and after 20 000 miles they started to loose tread us other soft Nordic compound tyres. Now decided to try the Nokian Hakapelita 10.

The tyres were already mounted on my 2002 Camaro. Only 4 years old they already start to show small cracks on the whole tyre.
99% I agree with the car magazine test regarding performance. Quiet, low rolling resistance. Wet performance disappointing.
Not a bad tyre but those cracks came quite early.
Will change them to all season tyres.

Very happy overall with these tyres. Have driven just over 60,000kms. The overall performance of these tyres in all conditions is pretty good. They represent great value for money. I have no hesitations when it comes to replacing my current tyres with another set of the same tyres.

Used these tyres for about 30k km so far. I think the tyres performs great, in both dry or wet. My point of reference are against my parent's car with continental ecocontact 6q, which gave me no feedback in the wet, and actually aquaplaned.
Which is something I never experience here, I think the feedback and response from these tyres are good.
Only think that's weaker for these tyres are the rolling resistants, which is quite high. So my fuel consumption went up a bit compared to my older toyo nanoenergy 3.
The tyres are also quite quiet, especially considering they're not very expensive. Would certainly consider getting falken again.

Really comfy tire, good wear, but at 32 psi I would lose traction in wet conditions without even going full throttle, in first and second gear, also in dry conditions sometimes. If turning a bit fast in the wet the tire just don't grip that well and understeer a quiet a bit more than what I would be comfortable with. This tire is good if u want something comfortable that would last a decent time and you don't push or throw your car around

Had these on various cars, Commodores and Falcons. They are our go to tyre, consistently performs well at all stages of life, and *decent* in the snow (for a summer tyre). Had Bridgestones, Falkens, Pirellis and Nexen.
Wet performance is absolutely outstanding. In the wet, even in a high torque rear wheel drive vehicle with little weight in the back, it still drives like its on rails
Driven in the snow with them too, and for a summer tyre, they were pretty good.
We usually get about 60k kms out of them before they have about 3mm of tread left, where we replace our tyre. We've had Energy XM2's on this car twice, and probably 3 times on the commodore.

Came fitted to the front wheels of a used Sharan. 4.5mm tread. Wheel alignment good.
Truly awful tyres although they taught me to be a much gentler city driver.
Wheel spin pulling away from lights and junctions.
ESG engaged during moderate acceleration on less than perfect roads.
Massive understeer around corners
Drifting on roundabouts.
Car felt unstable at motorway speed.
All of above amplified by a factor of five with any moisture in road.
Reluctant to stop in wet.
Not issues usually associated with a diesel mpv!
Swapped out for a set of good year's and all issues resolved.
