Pirelli Scorpion Verde
WatchThe Pirelli Scorpion Verde is a premium summer SUV tyre that majors on comfort, refinement and efficiency, typically delivering stable, confidence-inspiring dry road manners. Across both independent testing and owner feedback it tends to land mid-pack overall, with particularly strong rolling resistance and a generally composed ride. However, wet-weather confidence is its main caveat, with recurring concerns around aquaplaning and inconsistency in wet braking/handling depending on conditions and size. Longevity is also mixed, with some drivers seeing excellent mileage while others report quicker-than-expected wear and increasing noise over time.

Review Summary
Based on 60 user reviews
Driver feedback on the Pirelli Scorpion Verde is mixed: many high-scoring reviews praise it as a comfortable, stable tyre with good all-round road manners and, for some vehicles/driving styles, strong mileage. A significant portion of users, however, report disappointing wet-weather confidence-especially in standing water/aquaplaning-and many also complain about faster-than-expected tread wear. Road noise is also a recurring complaint, often noted to get worse as the tyre wears.
Strengths
- Good comfort and generally quiet when new
- Stable handling and grip in dry conditions
- Good longevity for some users (often 35k-60k+ miles reported)
- Capable in light snow for an suv road tyre (per several higher scores)
- Improved fuel economy/low rolling resistance (mentioned by a few high scores)
Areas for Improvement
- Weak wet-weather performance for many drivers
- Especially aquaplaning/standing water
- Tread wears faster than expected for many users (short lifespan complaints are frequent)
- Noticeable road noise/tyre roar
- Often worsening as the tyre wears
Top 3 Pirelli Scorpion Verde Reviews
Highly recommended for highways trips.
Now it's time to change. I would definitely buy again.
The first set came with the car and was immediately out of round, causing noticeable vibration. Hunter Road Force testing confirmed the tyres could not be corrected.
I then purchased a new, identical set, hoping to fix the problem – but only two out of four tyres were matchable. The others also had excessive radial force variation (RFV). The car continued to suffer from vibration issues, despite proper installation and balancing.
After more than four months, Pirelli now offered a credit for just two tyres – despite my experience with two complete sets. For a premium product with AO OEM approval, this is very disappointing.
I will not buy this tyre again.

Because of the higher price than Dueler, I will not buy again
Immediately after putting on these Pirellis and the moment I drove off the workshop, I could feel the difference. These tires felt smoother and quieter on the road. I bought this tires because I was hoping it would make my highway commutes more comfortable and I have the peace of mind when its wet. It indeed delivered on those fronts. On some occasions where I travel to travel on rough gravel roads, these tires performed very well. Gave me excellent grip through the gravel and had no problem whatsoever. Braking distance was also good and got me through some heavy rains and on flooded roads.
After 14 months and 40,000km later, the tires were well worn to the legal limit and I had to replace them. My only gripe was that, I wanted the tires to last longer because I have had tires where I pushed its life to beyond 50,000km. That was the only let down I had and subsequently went and purchase Michelin Primacy +.
Price wise, it was not the most expensive nor the cheapest. Definitely on the higher end but you get what you pa for. I would recommend this tire to others and would not mind buying them again. It is just that, I wanted to try other tires. Trust me when I say it is not as bad as the reviews bashing it.
