Daihatsu Terios Tyre Review Highlights
Writing about the Michelin Latitude tour HP given 54% (215-65-16)
I installed these tires on a DAIHATSU TERIOS II 1.5 4X4, (third tire on the same car). When switching from the previous Dunlop grandtrek touring (quite happy, I did not prefer them again due to a lower marking on the EU label) I noticed a big difference in the behavior of the car. It became noticeably harder on bumps on paved roads (potholes, manhole covers, etc.). I was quite dissatisfied but I got used to it. The car is used as a family car mainly on the road. Off-road it is occasionally taken on vacations and excursions. On a winter excursion to the mountainous and snowy Karpenisi (Greece) with careful driving the tires performed satisfactorily (they have an m+s marking). The same in the summer on the Cyclades islands (Greece), on steep, rough dirt roads to approach isolated beaches. In general, there was no problem either on wet or dry roads (city, country roads, highways, etc.). They were changed after 6 years and 70,000 km not due to wear since they had more km to go, but due to aging. (I put Riken 701, all the positives of Michelin + more economical and comfortable to drive, but I will comment on them when I have a complete opinion). In conclusion, with prudent driving, I was satisfied with the grip in all terrains and weather conditions. Also, the tread does not wear out, but the tire is not as comfortable as I expected. (The weight of the vehicle also plays an important role in the above). I would not prefer it again due to high cost and lack of comfort.

These tires are the perfect compromise. They are not very expensive and they are above average at all aspects that matters for a regular driver. As long as you are not an enthusiastic driver, they perform decently on both paved and unpaved roads, in summer and in winter. There might be a little bit noisier than my old Korean tires, but the wear is much lower. Grip and handling are pretty good on dry and wet terrain if you do not push the tires to extreme. After all, we are talking about tires made for SUVs not for rally cars. On snow and ice they performs decently, but you must expect less reliability than from dedicated winter tires.

The ML698+ Tire suits me very well! It is silent for a AT tire. The grip on/ off the road is good.

Bought 4 of these for my 4x4 daihatsu terios as I wanted a tyre for summer and winter driving. And these tyres was spot on, used them in the dry, wet and in the snow and they was brilliant, and quiet to. I've currently done just over 6000 miles on them, the front tyres have around 5mm tread still on them, and the back tyres are hardly worn. Will definitely buy these tyres again.

Driving on mostly motorways for 25000 easy going miles
I have driven these tyres for 5 years (around 35000 Km) and I can say that they performed equally to their price! They were cheap and their performance wasn't the best, except for the wear.
They were reliable in handling but noisy.
I think I'll go for something better.

Driving on mostly motorways for 90000 average miles
Dry handling and dry breaking is very good. Wet handling is good but pay attention in the middle of corner to the understeer. Wet breaking is good but with the first drop of rain you have to pay a lot of attention. The wear is fantastic. I have done 90.000km and I think to do another 20.000km. In off road you can do anything..incredible tyres..shoulder very solid. But when the temperature goes under 2 celsius degree you have to drive very very quiet, especially with the snow, because the polimers of tyres soffers a lot the low temperatures.

Awful tires. No dry grip at all. Average wet grip. Good grip on snow.
Would not buy again.

Original spec tyres on my 2008 Terios. They have been used in mixed conditions and perform very well. Very confident at speed and in the wet. Wet grip not so good when you are at about 3mm or less. Snow traction and driving is also good. They last well 25,000 + easily achieved but would recommend not going below 3mm tread depth. I am on my 2nd set now and quite happy with these for this type of car.
