I live in northern NY I put these on my car this year I never run snow tires on my outback before but I will be from now on the car drives and handles way better in the winter on slippery back roads that I drive can't say for wear rate just put them on this year but very happy with traction and noise a lot quitter than my wifes firestones on hear out back
