Passenger Car All Weather Premium Touring Tyres Tyre Review Highlights
Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 — rated 83%
while driving a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid for 25000 miles
They tires are great. They handle well in all aspects, dry, wet, and snow. They are very responsive to steering input and I feel confident all the time I am driving.

Continental SecureContact AW — rated 99%
while driving a Cadillac Xt6 for 2500 miles
We put these tires on the wife's Cadillac XT6 and have been very impressed. Ride quality and road noise are great, wet traction and traction in light snow have also been very good. The tires have only been on the car for a couple months, but initial impressions are positive.

Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 — rated 76%
while driving a Volkswagen Golf Estate 2.0 tdi 140 for 7000 miles
Chose these mainly for commuting year round mountain/canyon roads between Utah County and Park City Utah and for long, cross-country roadtrips. Great for winter, but definitely saw a reduction in fuel mileage. Replaced a set of Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+, which were great for MPGs but not so good in snow. Went from averaging 40-42 MPG with Continentals to 37-39 MPG with Goodyears.

I was hoping for a year round tire, but with the drop in fuel mileage, I may switch to “Summer” tires for better MPGs

Continental SecureContact AW — rated 93%
while driving a Toyota 2009 Toyota Alphard v6 awd for 1000 miles
Good so far, balanced out well, no vibrations. Smooth and quiet at hwy speeds. A bit squirmy on long sweeping corners but it might just be the vehicle, a 7 passenger minivan.
A few drives in wet weather. No drama, no wheel spin, no sliding.
Can't wait to try them in snow in ice.

Michelin CrossClimate 2 AW — rated 94%
while driving a Honda Civic for 38000 miles
I live in rural Southern Ontario, and I absolutely love my CC2. I will say that if you live in heavily populated areas in Ontario, like Toronto or Ottawa for example, you can use these tires all year round without needing a dedicated winter tire, however, in rural areas, I still strongly recommend a winter. I find the CC2s hold up well in snow, UP to about 4", after that, they lose some of their grip/bite, especially in softer/powder snow.

I have read/heard a lot of people say the wet performance isn't ideal, which is quite odd to me. I have had a different experience. One of the main reasons why I bought the CC2 was because how it works and should work in the wet. I've been in absolute downpours, and I don't have to be as cautious, because of the grip I still get. These tires feed through the water better than anything else I've ever tried. I've attempted to slide in deeper/standing water, and tried hydroplaning, with no success. I'm still planted right here I need to be.

I have never had a better tire, and I can't wait for the CC3 family to eventually come to Canada. With All Weather Tires existing, there really is no need for "All Season" nowadays. There is no meaningful performance metric that an All Season can do, that my. CC2s can't blow away.

Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive — rated 75%
while driving a BMW 330i for 1000 miles
Initial impressions have been relatively positive. The maintains grip wet conditions and has yet to break traction even under hard acceleration. While driving in sub freezing temperatures on mixed road conditions the tire did not have any issues finding grip. The tire only struggled to find the grip necessary to maneuver ,without spinning a wheel, while parallel parking after the major snowstorms that hit NYC earlier this year.

Nokian Remedy WRG5 — rated 66%
while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI for 4000 miles
I have these as my winter set on a GTI in New England. In my initial impressions these have met my expectations for a winter focused an all-weather tire. They feel very close to a proper winter tire (good grip in cold and snow, but sacrifice some grip on wet roads) As a bonus, I have found the dry handling limits surprisingly high for what these are, at least enough to not be a hindrance if you come across a nice twisty road.

I haven't encountered any ice covered roads in these yet, but they have handled snow and slushy snow without issue. Winter performance seems to be closer to my previous winter tire (Viking Contact 7s) than my last all-season on this car (DSW06s)

Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive — rated 80%
while driving a Subaru BRZ for 5000 miles
I live in temperate Vancouver, I daily a ‘24 BRZ, and I drive it like it was made to be driven.
I bought these as my winter tires since we rarely get snow here in winter, but we do get a lot of rain and winter tire temperatures.
They are excellent in the wet. They cut through standing water on straights and curves, good braking, predictable handling and smooth transitions between grip and no grip.

I bought them after watching your YouTube video on all season performance tires a couple years ago. They’re not exactly the same tire as your European pirelli all seasons, but they are very similar.
Would buy again, and when my current oem Michelin ps4 wear out I’ll consider getting the pirelli p zero r, especially if they are on sale like the weatheractives were.

Nothing wrong with the ps4, it is an outstanding summer tire in the wet and dry. Absolutely no complaints about them. So much grip for my light little car.

Bridgestone WeatherPeak — rated 66%
while driving a Toyota Avalon 2021 for 50000 miles
I got my Bridgestone Weatherpeaks on my 2021 Toyota Avalon summer 2024, spending 2 winters and 1.5 summers on them. I never meant to get the weatherpeaks but the shop I went to had their inventory off and didn't have the tires i wanted in after telling me they did, and gave me a discount on these for their error.

They are fine tires. I never had them seriously slip in the snow or ice in northern Midwest US winters. They ride rougher than the touring tires I prefer but no rougher than winter tires.

When they were new they would get pulled around by the grooves in pavement on some highways and freeways, which was unnerving but not hazardous. This was likely because of the blocky tread because it stopped happening after they wore down over a few months.

They feel spongy and like I mentioned before have a rougher ride than I like, but when you're buying this class of tire you aren't doing it for comfort and road feel, you're doing it because you only want one set of tires that can do everything just fine, which these tires do.

I would not buy Bridgestone Weatherpeaks again just because I will not be buying any tires in the All Weather class again. I never really meant to in the first place. I figured I would just go with it to try them because I was getting a discount and I really needed new tires at the time.

They still have a little life in them after 50k miles but it's time for me to go back to switching between a summer/touring tire set and a winter tire set as this is a better experience for me.

Bridgestone WeatherPeak — rated 66%
while driving a Honda Odyssey for 15000 miles
Low noise, decent snow traction. Just OK dry traction. Less than ideal MPG. Wearing quickly at just 20k I might get 35k miles out of them on my Odyssey. Good in the rain. Would not buy again just based on expected life span.

while driving a Toyota 2018 Camry V6 · Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 average miles
Ran these the past few months in a canadian winter and so far I'm really impressed. They're solid feeling, have excellent grip and are quiet. I will report back in the future to see how they're getting on.

Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 — rated 70%
while driving a Lincoln MKC · Driving on mostly motorways for 2000 easy going miles
I drive 50K year throughout WI & MN. 30 days ago, after 80K miles, all 4 Weather Ready Gen 1's were replaced with a set of Weather Ready 2's. The Gen 1's averaged 26 mpg throughout the entire 80K. The Weather Ready 2's are averaging 22mpg. That doesn't sound like much, but it's almost 100 miles per tank. At $2.75 gal it's roughly $100.00/month. I can't detect any measurable difference between the Gen1 and 2's other than the mpg. My only regret is not researching more thoroughly. I believe I could have found tires with equal performance without losing $100.00/month.
