Below are all the data points for the 2020 Auto Express Summer Tyre Test, displaying how each tyre performed across all test categories. The spider chart below provides a complete overview of performance, where one hundred percent represents the best performance in each category. The larger the area covered by each tyre's plot, the better its overall performance.
How to read these charts:
For each test category, data is presented relative to the best performing tire. The direction indicates whether lower or higher values are better - pay close attention to this when interpreting results.
Spider chart cannot be displayed because there are no test categories common to all tires.
Bizarre that Falken tire that include the term Eco in its title yet its claimed in these 2 tire tests to suffer high rolling resistance and I find that difficult to believe. Is the test result indicating a substantial increase or are we looking at relatively small margins amongst the top tire manufacturers?
It's fairly small margins, look at the data behind the EU tyre label for more details.
So, is there going to be a summary of the Evo test (were there to have been one)?
I do not believe there was one, though I'll check
About Falken. You say that you had the 94v. What did auto express use?
It's on the AE site which is linked, but it was the same 94V
It would be interesting to test same tire, different weight and speed ratings.
Maybe different factory?
mmm,..had planned on the PremContact6....what now for my Golf?!
They're still on my car, and they're still performing well in all other tests!
It is simply amazing how the different weight given to test categories radically changes the rankings
