Hi, this ranking is misleading, i read the ADAC test beacuse i could not understand why Toyo was ranked lower than Kumho when it scored better in almost all categories. Their ranking system is such that if a tyre scores badly enough in one category (which gets marked), that becomes its overall score with other categories contributing 0% and the tyres with the same score are written alphabetically, so Firestone,Kumho,Maxxis and Toyo are all ranked the same, also Continental,Falken and Semperit...it would be better to clearly make this known or people who just quickly glance at the ranking will think a tyre is better, when in truth its name is just alphabetically sooner. thank you&have a great day
I'll get the places updated. We do normally highlight when the tyres score the same, eg have 3 tyres in 6th place, but this must have been missed for this one.

I also have a question: i was thinking of buying the Toyo Proxes, but i wasn't keen on its wet performance in this test and then i also saw it finished last in another wet braking test with 40 meters, 5 meters more than the best (Hankook Ventus Prime 3). So now i am thinking about the Turanza, Sportac 5 and Ventus Prime 3, but i am not sure i wanna pay as much as Turanza costs and i was most impressed with Ventus Prime 3 until i saw it finished almost last in 2017 ADAC test on account of wet performance, i don't understand how the tests can be so different. So can you help me arrange these 3 according to your recommendation? thank you very much :) (they would be 185/55 R15 for Renault Twingo)
Size plays and issue, also tyres often go through unannounced updates during their life, which can change the performance. Always look at the latest test data, and make sure you insist you get recently produced tyres from your retailer.

Althought they are not the most fun tyres, It's great information for those who have to work or take care everyday of vans, ambulances and mini vans (children transport incl.).
I would like to think that I'll cross the road with vans equipped with good tyres that won't crash into me easily. Unfortunately most of them seem to be terrible in the wet!...

By the way, on the Gity positive comments, you should probably meant to write "low noise" instead of "low wear", since it was the most silent tyre of this test.
About pirelli," positive: none mentioned"? When at other test by adac, it came at first place compared with some of the tires included in this test. Worst than petlas and Giti, almost the same as the Linglong. Ok Adac we will take your test under "serious" consideration.
I was thinking the same thing... The overall score is somehow not comprehensible. Just don't look at the list and read what you are actually looking for in a tyre, and then choose!
My bet is for the second time in a row Vredestein.
In my 2nd family car Vredestein Quatrac 5 are just way above anything else I've ever tried (I live in Milan so very hot summers, rare snow but cold Temps in winter, lots of rain).
Some absolutely bizarre results here!
The P1 Verde for example are definitely not that weak in the wet, from personal experience never mind other tests and reviews, and the Kumho ecowing frequently get scorned for their teflon qualities in the wet...
I am very perplexed!
Remember wet will include aquaplaning scores, and the P1 has been called a poor aquaplaning tyre before.

P.S. I remember in one of the previous summer tests once it has not been published the results for the Cinturato P1 model, as they were not consistent among different samples produced in Italy and in Turkey.
