Below are all the data points for the 2017 ADAC Winter Tyre Test - 195/65 R15, displaying how each tyre performed across all test categories. The spider chart below provides a complete overview of performance, where one hundred percent represents the best performance in each category. The larger the area covered by each tyre's plot, the better its overall performance.
How to read these charts:
For each test category, data is presented relative to the best performing tire. The direction indicates whether lower or higher values are better - pay close attention to this when interpreting results.
Spider chart cannot be displayed because there are no test categories common to all tires.
How is the 6.8 of Yokohama weak in wet and 6.8 of Falken and 6.6 of Vredestein slightly weak? Also Hankook's 6.8 on wet is "good on wet road".. This is why I hate ADAC tests, maybe they are true but noone knows why.. :)
"maybe they are true but no one knows why" - this sometimes makes more sense than the test itself!
They have quite a complex score weighting, it might have been the Falken and Vred had good aquaplaning but bad wet grip, and the Hankook had poor aquaplaning, but good wet grip!
I was studying ADAC's web site, which is hard because my german is very bad. But I found out that the overall cannot be better then the worsest parameter of main six parameters (dry/wet/snow/ice/wear/rollingresistance) under some point. Yokohama and Vredestein has Wear 6 and their Overall score can be 6 and worse. In your data of the test, It seems that if one of the 6 parameters is lower then 7, overall score is that parameter.
I would love to see all their datas, AutoBild presents all of them, or the most of them..
Thanks for the info! It's such a shame ADAC don't publish their data, it's why we only give them small coverage on the website, where as a test from someone like Auto Bild gets a great big write up!
