Below are all the data points for the 2017 50 Winter Tyre Shoot Out, displaying how each tyre performed across all test categories. The spider chart below provides a complete overview of performance, where one hundred percent represents the best performance in each category. The larger the area covered by each tyre's plot, the better its overall performance.
How to read these charts:
For each test category, data is presented relative to the best performing tire. The direction indicates whether lower or higher values are better - pay close attention to this when interpreting results.
Spider chart cannot be displayed because there are no test categories common to all tires.
I asked what does Snow: 0.1 result mean, and you delete my comment. Why?
It wasn't deleted, it was flagged as spam, I don't know why, sorry.
0.1 result means it wasn't tested in that category. They just tested the top 30 wet braking sets in snow braking.
Oh, OK. Thank you.
What do all those snow: 0.1 results mean?
Bf Goodrich and kleber have same patern? Why so different results?
Only Auto Bild can answer that. Maybe different compounds / construction, maybe testing issues
Hi, is there any test or a review if it's better to have cheap/budget winter tyre than good summer tyre in winter condition?
A cheap winter tyre will always perform better than a summer tyre in snow and ice, the summer tyre will always win in the dry, and the summer tyre would nearly always beat a cheap winter tyre in the wet.
I thought so..thanks for confirmation
I find my winter tyres better than in the wet than summers, particularly with standing water.
BF Goodrich gForce Winter 2 : "Wet 31.5"
35.1 !
35.1+25.9 : 61. :D
Good point :) Thank you
There's a little mistake in the results table - the Hankook icept evo2 was tested in this test, not the RS2 (which is a shame by the way, as the RS2 proved to be a very good tyre in similar 225/45 R17 size).
Cheers!
Hi Michal,
I have the Auto Bild magazine in front of me, and interestingly they really have printed the RS2 in the braking test section, but the evo2 in the full test.
Very confusing!
