The recently released Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RRS tyres are Goodyears new entry into the hypercar / track car segment, and what better way to test them than by using the current fastest production car in the world, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

First up in the video, we run the new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport R on the 991 911, then we swap over to the SuperSport RS to see exactly how much faster a tyre can be!

Jonathan can you confirm what sizes the Supersport R will be available in an 18" rim? Goodyear UK just told me that currently they only have plans for 205/40/18. Surely this cant be right? As this seems a rather unpopular size.

Any news of when the Supersport R is released? I'm waiting to replace my Cup 2's as they're getting on a bit now

I think they're out in some sizes, but I know the majority of the sizes are a little delayed as I had to delay a test in 235/35 R19 until july!

I've been looking but can only find the Supersports. Guess I'll have to wait a month or two longer if most are delayed. It's a shame, I'm eager to see how they fair.

Back in june 2018 Dunlop invited car and tyre experts to an event, the launch of a new tyre which was supposed to be the evolution of the sportmaxxrace 2 the tyre was fitted on a gt 2 rs and most drivers very very happy with the tyre. The tyre didn't have a name at the time and looked exactly like the gy ss rs. Now I believe would be interesting to test the Dunlop sportmaxxrace 2 vs the gy ss r and maybe vs the Michelin cup 2.

I was able to find a video review of the e event by a popular italian youtuber who was able to test the tyre and basically says the tyre bends the laws of physics

Honestly I never understood why the Dunlop never got some love compared to the Michelin while according to Porsche the two tyres are equivalent

Perhaps branding and marketing, or the non N marked cup 2 was better than the Dunlop.

I believe new SuperSport RS is the recommended tyre by porsche for extreme track work

I am subscribed to your channel which I really appreciate greatly and I am also subscribed to other motorsport channels, your videos give greater in-depth analysis and almost make you feel and experience the tyre you review thanks for the effort and passion you put in your channel and site.
