I've ran the eagle f1 asymmetric 5's for the last few years, they were fantastic tyres, great in the dry, decent in the wet and were good to drive from cold. I've ran the 6's for over 6k miles and disliked them since the beginning, take too long to warm up, huge amounts of road noise and feedback, and feel loose in any sort of wet weather, a huge disappointment from the 5's.

I replaced some cheap unheard of brand tyre with these and it completely changed my car. I have a Megane 3 RS, so I always knew I was in for a stiff ride but I always felt like I crashed into bumps on the road. The road noise was also at a horrible level. Once I repalced the cheap tyres from the dealer it was like I was dealing with a different car. It no longer crashed into speed bumps and it takes minor bumps and imperfections in the road much better than before. These tyres have an insane level of grip, the car feels like it's glued to the road in the dry. I have gone around some corners at eye watering speeds and you can tell they still have more in them. I think a track is the only place you could responsobly find the limits of these tyres.
In the wet they provide assured confidence with plenty of stopping power. I wouldn't put these on anything that was not fast and powerful, you would just be wasting them.
My wife's honda has some of the more affordable Goodyears and they work fine for non performance cars, efficient grip I think they're called, plenty for a normal everyday people carrier.

The tyre offers a good amount of grip both in the dry and wet, but is slightly "peaky", as expected from a high performance tyre. In a well balanced and not particularly powerful car, it's really hard to push it over the edge, but once done it breaks free quickly, although not violently. One characteristic to point out is something that feels like compliance in the side wall (not sure if it actually is that), especially in gentle change of directions when the rear feels like it's settling on the tyre and pre-rotating the car, although there's no delay at turn-in. I feel this especially at the rear, it doesn't feel uncomfortable, but definitely like the car is doing something there which I don't feel on other tyres.

These tyres came on my BMW M440d and are run flat tyres. They are also * marked tyres so approved by BMW. I initially thought I would need to change them as I’m not a fan of how hard run flats are. These however do not give a harsh ride and feel much more comfortable than the Bridgestone Potenza run flats I had on my BMW G22 430d. There is no skipping about on corners when you hit imperfections and the wet and dry grip is excellent. Overall I would definitely consider buying these again for my summer tyres. The wear seems ok, I have done approx 6000 miles since getting the car as a used purchase, with what looked like almost new tyres on it. I do like to use the cars full performance and have had no issues with grip, but I keep traction on full as I know 700nm of torque would throw me off the road if I wasn’t careful.

These tires are worlds apart from my previous Dunlop 050+. I live in Taiwan and rarely drive aggressively, but I do occasionally get a little carried away, and these tires are truly amazing. I can take corners at speeds 20 km/h higher than with the Dunlop, and sometimes even more. The noise level is significantly lower than my previous PS4 tires, and even lower than the Dunlop. Acceleration in the rain is also better than both of those tires, especially in terms of steering, which surprised me. I will definitely use these tires again; they are excellent value for money.

Just listen to the Jon the tyre review man. They're f great!
CONTEXT:
When I was looking for tyres my brother had shown me the YouTube channel before so I did a deep dive. My Uniroyal Rainsport 5's were on the limit of an MOT fail so I needed new rubber. As much as I loved them and its shark skin technology written on the sidewall, and in the wet they were a blast, ultimately dynamically they were lazy in the dry and not the most fun by the end of them, but considering the car was new to me on Toyo Proxes with the sidewalls literally splitting in the cold, when I got the Uniroyals on I was having a great time getting to know the car. Really happy with the choice 9/10
FURHTER CONTEXT LOL:
Anyway, after a lot of learning and my desires for the car, I wanted the same parameters as the RS5's but just with better grip. PS5's were out my price range and I'd fear in a way would overpower the car and be too grippy and a bit boring to do drive day to day.
To mitigate this further I implemented a squarer set up (previously 225, 245 now 255, 265 front to rear) to help turn in as I felt the lack of initial grip on turn in and understeer mid corner was not nice when loaded up carefully.
So on went the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 6's on the front (255x35x19) with Falken Azenis FK520 rear (265x35x19)
I don't remember if Goodyear did the rear sizing or if they were ridiculously expensive so on went the Falkens as a compromise. I only did this since I bought wheels 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 rear this was the closest tyre size pairing I could get to a square 255 all round or 265 all round.
NITTY GRITTY:
Goodyears have fantastic initial grip, on tight bends, fast ones, short ones, sweepers, the car rotates beautifully, much lighter on it's tippy toes now while providing much better stability in all areas to the Rainsport 5's. Wet grip is on par although if I'm thinking solely about the tyre give me a 255 Rainsport that might just edge it, however as a package the new set up is much more fun and agile in the wet as it is in the dry.
Stopping power is great. Despite a smaller and stiffer sidewall, road noise and day to day comfort is better behaved. Road feedback is good.
I haven't taken this set up on track yet but it will be more agile and suffer less wear, I believe it's a harder tyre to the Uniroyal.
I wish I could get the Goodyears on all 4 corners but as a pairing I have to say that the FK520's in the rear really compliment the car and the fronts very nicely indeed.
SUMMARY:
Turns out when you trust a nerd on a particular subject they know, they tend to have a good understanding of what they're talking about. John you absolute nerd thank you for the recommendation. If he can't stop saying 'but I prefer the Goodyears though' in every test, that's probably a good sign.
Nothing to fault yet.
As a tyre 9/10
For my needs 10/10 the Falkens I said as a tyre 7.5/10, for my needs 9/10

For the last 10 years or so I have driven the Assymetrics 3, 4 and 5 and they were all great. So the 6 was a no brainer for me. The tire is perfect in all areas, except for the wear. Normally I drive 50.000 km easily on a set of tires. The 6 did 30.000 km and they were gone. Very disappointing. I now drive the Michelin PS5.

A very good blend of sport touring tyre. Switched from smaller diameter runflats, comfort is still marginally better. Tyre performs as described, perfect for everyday use. Holds on in corners very well at any speeds. Good in wet and colder (3-7 °C) temperatures too. No manufacturing quality issues. Can't comment on wear so far. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

Very good grip in dry and wet. Quiet on smooth roads. They roar a bit on rough surfaces. only worn 1.5mm in 13000 miles so should last 40000 miles.

I have been using the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 225/50R17 98Y XL FP tires for approximately 66,000 kilometers on a "Diesel" vehicle with a "1.6 L engine," an "empty weight of 1550 Kilograms," "320 NM of Torque," and carrying a constant trunk weight of "20-50" kilograms depending on the season, used under Turkish conditions. I will endeavor to describe the tire's behavior under extraordinary variable road and climate conditions, including roads where you can find potholes, nails, or extremely slippery substances like gravel and dust residues, as well as debris like broken glass.
I previously used "Michelin Primacy 3" tires for about 45,000 kilometers. Except for the comfort and wear resistance of the Michelin, this tire (Goodyear) is one that can offer much, much more.
At the end of these 66,000 kilometers, I must admit that the tires are now definitely outside the conditions of safety and usability. I will be purchasing new tires as soon as possible.
The most important advantages of the tire:
(+) Extraordinary Road Handling Feel
Although I am a user who likes to drive very calmly and at a constant speed, I love entering corners hard and without losing speed. These tires are definitely very successful and safe companions in sharp corners (at temperatures between 15-45° Celsius). Thanks to the tire's extraordinary elasticity relative to the road, you can witness how it grips the road and tries to take its shape even when you park the vehicle.
(+) Braking Feel and Braking Distance
Considering the traffic conditions in my country, you may have to brake very hard in unexpected situations or stop the vehicle in an extraordinarily short time if you are braking. These tires never bothered me in this regard. They always stopped in the best way possible and did their job. Although I have come close to avoiding serious accidents many times, I believe one reason I can write this review today is the braking distance and handling performance of these tires.
(+) Extraordinary Steering Feel
The tires transmit a lot of road feel. In fact, especially on roads with many stones and small objects, the steering wheel can "tickle" (vibrate/tingle) your hands excessively.
(+) Wet Grip and Behavior
You feel absolutely no anxiety about braking distance and handling on wet roads. Even though my tires are at the end of their life right now, they still feel very safe on wet surfaces. I never experienced "Aquaplaning" during the time I used these tires.
(+) Price / Performance
It delivers such successful performance for its price that it's impossible for me not to be satisfied. As someone whose first priority is safety, I do not think it's possible to buy a tire that offers this level of safety, handling, and feel at the current price.
(+)(-) Damage from Other Objects
During the time I used these tires, I involuntarily came into contact with nails, glass, or similar objects many times. Although the tire shows considerable resistance to a certain extent against sharp and piercing foreign objects like nails or glass, unfortunately, with cutting objects that might not be a problem for other tires, you can encounter extraordinary damage with these. This absolutely, positively does not mean it is weak, but I get the impression that its durability is not on par with other tires.
(+)(-) Comfort
The tire does not provide an extra advantage in terms of comfort. The comfort the tire provides is definitely not bad, but it would be unfair to say it is comfortable.
(?) Tire Noise
I did not witness the tire making much noise during my usage. Silence is not a criterion I pay much attention to in a tire.
(-) Tire Life and Wear
In terms of lifespan, it is quite disadvantageous, and this is the aspect I consider the most negative about this tire. At only 17,500 kilometers, I observed wear on the tires that looked like 30,000 kilometers of use. I generally drive 40% in the city and 60% outside the city. I use the car at 50 KM/H - 70 KM/H - 76 KM/H in city conditions, while I drive at constant speeds of 90 KM/H or 110 KM/H outside the city. Even though I pay close attention to my wheel alignment and try to avoid sudden braking as much as possible, the tires absolutely do not wear accordingly. You would have to try very hard to achieve this level of wear on another tire.

Great tyre, Very good grip levels in both dry and wet, also good on the comfort side of things. Used 2 full sets on my Bmw M140i, one full set on my wifes Bmw 220d and now just bought some for our S Class. Trustworthy tyres
