The overall scores below are calculated using our weighting system. Since the original publication may use a different scoring methodology that wasn't shared, these results may differ from their published rankings. You can adjust the weightings below to explore how different priorities affect the results.

Not every driver has the same priorities. Adjust the category weightings above to re-rank the tyres based on what matters most to your driving style.
Scores are colour-coded from red (weakest) through yellow to green (strongest) to help you quickly spot each tyre's strengths and weaknesses.
The original test ranking is shown in the # column. Arrows indicate how each tyre moves when your custom weighting is applied.
Test is only relevant to the 225/40 R18 tire size. Change the tire size and results would be entirely different.
Why... oooh why did they choose the Continental PremiumContact 7 - which is totally not max performance tyre - instead of the readily available SportContact 7? Some serious testing here :)
Because the full test has wear and rolling resistance and the PC7 will do better overall thanks to this
Which is total BS. Either there are categories and - in this case UHP - tyres are reviewed with all their pros and cons... or you are berry picking tyres depending what results you wanna see... Still not convinced. (Besides, SportContact 7 was declared a clear overall winner over Bridgestone Sport and Michelin PS5 by you guys in previous comparisons. If just tyre wear wieghs so much of an disadvantage in an UHP tyre test... than it is a very very flawed test.)
It's worth noting that this is Autobilds test, not mine, but also that the SportContact 7 is designed to compete with the PIlot Sport 4S, not the Pilot Sport 5, or technically the Eagle F1 Supersport rather than the ASym 6.
Interesting with the Linglongs, going up from second to last to being in the top 5. Did they use a new compound or did they make a special test tire?
Lets wait for the full test next week. I believe the grip to be real, however I expect wear to be very high as the trade.
Is there any new results for Ling Long Sport Master tyre test? I am looking tor new summer tyres at the moment, so if you have new resolts or information, plese respond. Thanks!
