Not every driver has the same priorities. Adjust the category weightings above to re-rank the tyres based on what matters most to your driving style.
Scores are colour-coded from red (weakest) through yellow to green (strongest) to help you quickly spot each tyre's strengths and weaknesses.
The original test ranking is shown in the # column. Arrows indicate how each tyre moves when your custom weighting is applied.

I don't enjoy how Pirelli seems to score decently or super badly on snow traction depending on the size. It goes from decent performer (above Turanza or AllseasonContact 2) to one of the worst between the tests.
I hoped for a tire with no big hole in performance, while being decent in every important category.
It seems Continental's are the most balanced if we dare to ignore the curved aquaplaning, but I doubt I'd be taking fast turns in such conditions, hmmm...

I'll be buying new all season 225/45R17 tires in September, I thought I'd be buying Pirelli's, but now I'm undecided again...

No Goodyears for me, for personal reasons.

Snow tests are always a bit tricky and with all the tires being pretty close, things can move around. I still think it has more than enough snow performance for an all season tire.

Pirelli , the 1st and 2nd in aqua tests, is rated merely satisfactory? Really?

ADAC don't weight aquaplaning tests too high. They're usually hard on all season tyres as they're compromised compared to a dedicated summer and winter.

Some odd results showed up in this test relating wear when compared with the 2024 Auto Bild All season tyre test in the 225/50 R17 size, specially relating to the Goodyear, although it had most of the time proven to be very good in other sizes. Some other tyres had odd results in wear: the Michelin Crossclimate 2, BFGoodrich, Pirelli and Continental.
However, if we compare the results with the 2023 Auto Bild All season tyre test, which was in the same 225/45 R17 size as in this test, the only result that remains odd is the Goodyear, being way better than previous results, but the Nexen had an even odder result discrepancy, being way worst!
In this wet braking test, I believe that the speed was from 80 Km/h, not 100.
Very nice test from ADAC, as always! I love the fact they also test on the ice! Very useful, as it always comes first than the snow and leaves after.
