Not every driver has the same priorities. Adjust the category weightings above to re-rank the tyres based on what matters most to your driving style.
Scores are colour-coded from red (weakest) through yellow to green (strongest) to help you quickly spot each tyre's strengths and weaknesses.
The original test ranking is shown in the # column. Arrows indicate how each tyre moves when your custom weighting is applied.

I had the Michelin crossclimate plus, my first all season. My experience is very disappointing regarding wear. They lasted 3 years and 25.000 km. The noise is high. i think that because the car is not moving very much because of the Covid Pandemic, the tiers changed their form and make a strange noise.

    Hi,

I am still looking forward to the promised 2020 test, especially since the vector gen 3 has just been launched.

I was meant to have that test finished by now, sadly covid has delayed things so it looks like Autumn now :(

Best all season tyre for me is by far Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3 Plus! You can buy them on ebay from USA ;)

There are great tyres, but very different to the European all season tyres in this test!

To all who are looking at the CrossClimate+ :

I had this tyre in this size on our Audi A3
It is a really good tyre but more summer focussed then Winter.
Negative: very loud (even wenn New)

I would recomend Vredestein Quatrac 5 or (if not in your size) Quatrac Pro.

This tyre is way more balanced and the most important: very very quite!

    Best regards,
    Morris

INTERESTING....thinking about rims change, therefore tires as well......thanks for tip...

i have 195/65/15 cc+ i think they can be loud sometimes.
snow - satisfied, but in summer best. h/w rain -ok.
after 2 years rubber a bit harder in cold...therefore i am juggling with pressures to balance the gelatine effect vs ride stiffnes. :-/ https://media3.giphy.com/me...

Since you are about to perform an all season tyre test, I would like to share a thought of mine. How do all season and summer tyres from the same manufacturer, compare with each other; For example, Quatrac 5 vs Sportrack 5 or Cinturato allseason vs P1 etc. Thank you for time.

Interesting test - But for me it highlighted just how biased a test can be by the personal priorities / opinions of whoever is executing them:

I recently was looking for a set of tyres for my mother's Ford Fiesta - She doesn't do big distances (the recently-scrapped set of age-expired premium summers it was wearing still had a good 4-5mm of tread), she just wants to be able to stop quickly in the wet or dry - and she wouldn't swap tyres between warm and cold weather (i.e. she won't do separate summer / winter tyres).

I bought her a set of Conti All-Seasons, but if I'd have seen this test I may well have gone for the Bridgestones: Cheaper, better wet and dry braking, better aquaplaning resistance and better fuel consumption. The only reasons this tyre didn't score better here are poor wear (not an issue in an elderly relative's car) and slightly increased noise (also not a problem, as this demographic does not drive all that fast or far at a time and often has lower awareness of such things!).

I think you should have given it a special shout-out recommendation as a good choice for lower annual mileage cars such as my mother's.
